(this recipe was a big hit at my work potluck- delicious even for non vegans!)
makes large quantity.
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 4 C. mushrooms, sliced (good with a variety)
- 2 T. soy sauce
- 3 C. Vitasoy (creamy original)
- 2 1/2 T. nutritional yeast
- 1/2 t. sea salt
- 1/2 t. garlic, granulated
- 1/4 t. black pepper
- 5 t. arrowroot powder
- 1 t. vegetable bouillon
- 1 t. onion, granulated
- 16 oz. linguine noodles

The reason that meat consuming is so prevalent is because of the ad campaigns and the push to have everyone buy meat. To have everyone not buying meat is not in the best interests of the meat producers (not all of whom are agribusiness, by the way). Meat industry is big business, so something like the Atkins diet is pushed on consumers.
