I know this is an old post but I have been traveling in china now for 2 months and have been eating one of these per week. They're awesome and super filling. The bigger they are the less seeds they have. I usually pick all the rind off and just eat the flesh inside the skin of each section. (I know this is really strange but I've noticed when I eat these i urinate quite a lot! I was searching the net about that and found this site.) The grapefruit is actually a hybrid of the pomelo and orange.

I found it at Trader Joe's- my new love. And it was new to them, too. I guess they just started selling them. Hopefully they'll start to gain popularity and become easier to find.
