I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth. I blame my grandma. I’m a big fan of chocolate, caramel, and brownies. I’m also a big fan of bars. I tried a flavor of Luna bar a long time ago and liked it but didn’t really start buying them until recently. I bought a variety pack of mini Luna bars (by Clif Bar) and discovered my favorite: the Caramel Nut Brownie bar. For 190 calories (80 if you buy the minis) I can indulge in a bar that tastes like dessert but, in fact, is natural and organic, gives me 9 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber, has a low glycemic index, is high in calcium and folic acid, and is rich in antioxidants. Oh, and none of their products contain dairy. It even says on the package “We source ingredients that are not made using wheat or dairy and are not genetically engineered.” You could say I’m in Luna Lala Land. They’re quite filling, too. You won’t go hungry after eating one. I especially enjoy them after they’ve been in the fridge for a while.

They are categorized as Whole Nutrition Bars for Women but that doesn’t mean you men can’t enjoy them as well.

Luna bars are pretty easy to come by these days, too. You can find them, not only in health food stores, but in regular grocery stores and even at Target. So, I highly recommend you try some flavors if you haven’t already. You’re bound to find one that lights you up.

I’m putting in a good word for Larabar, too! (Remember I gave you one at the office a few weeks ago!)

    Dairy-free, gluten-free, raw, soy-free and kosher.

I love these for a quick energy burst in the afternoon between lunch and dinner. Yum. And I’m not even vegan! Chocolate/coconut and cashew cookie are my faves.

Hope you are loving your new city…
